TPMS

A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside all the tires on automobiles. Each tire contains a small box that replays the current tire pressure to a central console located in the vehicle.

All vehicles manufactured after September 2007 are required by U.S. law to have a TMPS system. The vehicle will have a light or digital display that alerts the driver of unsafe tire pressure.

Note: Mr. Tire and TreadQuarters includes the transfer of TPMS sensors from old tires to new tires as part of our On The Rim & Out The Door® total tire pricing for most vehicles. Most of our competitors will change extra to transfer your TMPS senors. Some vehicles require extra parts and or tools which are at an additional cost. See store for details.
